Challenges
The client is a financial services firm that provides asset management and retirement planning services. To support its emerging stable coin offering, the company needed a dedicated server room to house a high security HSM.
The project required a tightly controlled environment that could meet stringent security, availability, and compliance standards while fitting into a limited space storeroom on the company’s existing office floor.
However, the storeroom presented several constraints:
- Limited space – Too small to build a conventional server room
- Costly chilled water fan coil system – The existing cooling relied on aging pipework that is prone to leaks
- FM200 implementation challenges – Require extensive civil work and piping, making it impractical for the confined area
